Dr. A.P.J Abdhul Kalam is India's "Missile Man", lionised and glorified as
such. He was awarded the highest honour the Indian state gives - the
"Bharat Ratna", or the Jewel of India - many years before Amartya
Sen, known for his liberal and anti-militaristic views, received it,
after winning the economics Nobel Prize.
Mr Kalam lacks such experience or orientation. He is an engineer who
became a manager of cloistered defence-related programmes, with
little exposure to the broader process of governance. He is wrongly
thought to hold a PhD in science or engineering. His doctorate
is
purely honorary, like Margaret Thatcher's.

Soft Founder BILL GATES
Bill Gates the man behind the
Microsoft Corporation was born on Oct 28th 1955 in Seattle with
his two sisters and his father. He first began playing around
with computers and programming at the age of 13 while at the
private
Lakeside school. . In 1975 Gates
had formed the company Microsoft with a good friend Paul Allen.
He left Harvard so he could put all of his energy into running
the company.
Now Microsoft is the most successful company in
history, it had revenues of $28 billion for the fiscal year ending
June 2002, it employees roughly 50,000 people in over 70 countries.

Graduated from Tagore School, Karnal, India, in 1976. Bachelor of Science
degree in aeronautical engineering from Punjab Engineering College, India,
1982. Master of Science degree in aerospace engineering from University of
Texas, 1984. Doctorate of philosophy in aerospace engineering from
University of Colorado, 1988. She was Selected by NASA in December 1994, she was assigned to work technical issues for the Astronaut
Office EVA/Robotics and Computer Branches.
STS-107 Columbia (Jan 16 to
Feb 1, 2003). The 16-day flight was a dedicated science and research
mission. The STS-107 mission ended abruptly on February 1, 2003 when
Space Shuttle Columbia and her crew perished during entry, 16 minutes
prior to scheduled landing.
